dvx100a and sony trv-320

I have a dvx100a and a cheap TRV-320. I'm wondering if it could be possible to shoot with those 2 cameras and match their look in post for editing...

Don't get me wrong, I know there's a huge quality difference between those 2 cams, on the Sony I can't even set the white balance (apart some presets programs). To complicate it a little, I would like to shoot 24p with the dvx, and then use a cinelook plug-ins to make the 60i sony footage 24p-like.

I understand all the technical difficulties here, but I would like your opinion to know if I'm dreaming or if it is something faisable, taking in consideration obviously that the final result won't be perfect.

It depends what cinelook plugin you have. If there's deinterlacing option, then you got more like 30p-look, but with ordinary deinterlacing you lose half resolution...much better results with adaptive deinterlacing. And...with 60i there's no correct "motion blur" in your footage which is a part of true 24p progressive video.

Not that they'll look "the same", but to to get both 24P, you might look at the DVFilmmaker app. It's under $100 and I understand that it does a very good job converting 60i to 24P, etc...
