DVX100A and GL2 compatibility

I'd be surprised if anyone hasn't already asked this, but my search came up empty, so I apologize if this has been covered before (been gone for a while):

How compatible is the DVX100A and GL2 in terms of editing together footage from the two cameras? I have a friend that recently got a GL2 and I have a DVX, and we were thinking of starting a project together, but if the resulting footage, 24P in particular, mix like oil and water, then we probably won't bother. I'll be using Premiere Pro 1.5, btw.

Thanks,
Paul

i am just mixing a canon 50i with a DVx 25p and it is a pure pain. i knew it beforehand and we only used the interlaced cam on extrmecloseups handheld with a slow shutter to create a bit of motionblur. i am now trying to match the colours but so far failed in decreasing the videoedges....but mind you i didn´t spend more than two hours on it yet.....some shots will be only 5 frames so i won´t bother and simply blur it a bit.....

if you want long shots next to each other i recommend a testshoot. to me the canon looks totally different. a SONY seems much softer picturewise to me and easier to match to 25p.

i find that the warmish red, the dvx100 can produce, is alot like gl2,gl1 footage, but the softness is just like the Vx2_00...i used to have a vx1000 now a dvx100, and it looks very similar,so if you get a chance,i would go with a sony vx series,,,if you already have the gl2, thats fine..

I use a DVX100a with a GL-1 with FCP-HD and with a tiny bit of color correction they work fine togehter, as long as the DVX100a is shooting 60i.
