We have 2 cameras a 100a and a 100b, all the settings are set the exact same and yet the picture of the 2 are completely different. the colors are more vibrant on the 100a and way darker on the 100b and the whites are way blown out on the 100b? we white balance at the same time on the same white, it doesnt matter between 24p and 30p, everything is the same.

through more than a few experiences.....I've really come to the conclusion that a production needs to be with same cameras. And dont rely too heavily on color/gamma correction in post to try and match them, because that footage will suffer in quality.
For some reason DVX100a and the Canon XL2 work better together than the DVX100a and 100b do. ?
100a has richer reds, the 100b has higher gamma....its super hard to match the two on site.

any other takers?

well, here's the wierd thing, with the exact same set up, pointed at the exact same thing, my (100b) lighter colors are lighter and my darks are darker than the 100a?? almost like a wider contrast range, if that makes any sense...
