DVX100 Things to Know?

Ok, Don't know where to start, really.

Anyway here we are. I am about to buy an used 3 chip camcorder and at the moment the choice is between DVX100, XL1s and PD170 (Europe PAL.) Fact is, because I might end up buying the DVX100 but if so I then have to do soon-ish, I'd like to know (as much as possible pleassse...) what I should be aware of for this particular camera. Again, it'd be the DVX100 and not 100A, 100AE, etc. I assume the one I am after is the 1st model.
I personally quite like the XL1s and am not a big fan of Sonys in general. But the XL1s would require me to get too many accessories and I don't want to do that, really. Plus I've worked with the DVX100 a fet times and loved the warm colours (magenta oriented? Am I dreaming here?)
Anyway, I hope you can get back to me and let me know what the DVX100 doesn't have that the DVX100A has. Meanwhile, I'll keep googling...

Cheers,

Whatever you decide to do with regard to getting a new(used) camera, unless you have to have the camera right now, today, hold off until after the NAB which is just alittle more than a week away. Why? Few people really know what is going to be happening with regard to the new line of cameras that will be presented at NAB. There will always be those souls who have to purchase anything that is new and different before it's even checked out. This could mean that there will be 100A's (a much better camera than the 100), XL1's and PD170's hitting the market at much reduced prices. Don't take that to the bank, but at least give it a week or two and see what settles out.

That clunking noise you hear when tilting the camera back and forth is *supposed* to be there. That used to be the #1 asked question on here. ~reservoir~ :)
