BMUSICW@HOTMAIL.COM

i am building up a case against them

Welcome to life's really expensive school of experience. Every time I think I've graduated, there's a new course I find myself in.

yeah, those nigerian scams and similar ones are also using phony cashiers checks. it's becoming quite common and banks have no security measures in place for this type of scam.

I'm surprised you didn't google the email address first before you sold it. Here's a complaint for the other email:

The thing is i have all the info on the suspect but the law is (excuse my language ****ING USELESS) I gave them all the info i discovered on the culprits i have even pointed to where they live and they say they MIGHT investigate but its not their priority because its small claims crime. They suggested i take them to small claims court. Can you believe it CHECK FRAUD is small potatoes to them. They had my stolen goods for sale on the RECYCLER.COM and they still did nothing so now my stuff is gone for sure.

I am looking into my options

might want to try the California Attorney Generals office as your next stop.

I have a feeling they are going to be like the rest. Not interested in my case due to the fact that the crime is only 2700. The thing is these people are commiting crimes NOW! They are a running a business and due to my investigation they are dealing in stolen goods. Its frustrating no one is doing anything about it. These people are victimizing people as i type this.

I contacted the FBI and they said talk to the police because we dont really deal with that. The police seemed bored about my problem and kept sending my to different police precincts. The lawyers thought my small case wasnt worth their time, just for a small reward of 2700. The law is **** they protect only the crimminals.

I refuse to belive the only way to get justice is to start a webpage. I am going to contact the attorney general tomorrow. If i get no answers from speaking to him or his people i am going to find a different way.

Usually people who get victimized dont get to know whatever happened to the people who stole from them. I have been outside their house and seen the people that stole from me. And i cant do anything aobut it.

can you pm me any information you have on the guy. email. info that is on the phony cashiers check, etc. If there is anything that might be able to possibly trace it to an actual person, I might be able to help you. At least find out who it is and where he lives at the very least. Adress you mailed the cam too, etc. I am a little decent at finding out people. See my recent post on identity thief busted... sort of :)
I will try to help if i can but i can't promise anything

i already know where he lives. its a WASHINGTON MUTUAL cashiers check

2700 is a fair chunk of change. I don't know what the dollar amount is, but that might be close to the felony line. If you have the info on the guy already, get it done. one way or another :)

i have to

That webpage accumulated a lot of hits and got a lot of media attention including an article in the NY TImes. And that actually helped the progress of his police report.

In addition to the AG, try California Lawyers for the Arts (Los Angeles) (310) 998-5590. Non profit service that may be able to help you liaise with law enforcement. Worth a call.
