a. what steadicam do you suggest for dvx100? :)
The main usage will be for making very long walks (20 minutes and more), so i would need arm, vest, and i guess proper external monitor.
b. Also if i go for flyer what battery pack/batteries do you suggest?
c. what flyer version is recommended, must be as low cost as possible?
d. or should i wait for merlin + vest + arm ?
e. something completely else?
f. whats up with remote focusing, zoom, exposure controls?
g. is it possible to use flyer from a car in codrivers seat?
tnx in advance for any suggestions.

a) The Flyer is the best rig for the DVX.
b) The IDX Starter kit is the best bet for the FLyer (get it with the V-mount battery mounts)
c) The basic Flyer with the IDX Starter kit is the cheapest option.
d) The Merlin & arm kit holds less weight. It will do fine with just the DVX, but if you want many accessories on the DVX the Merlin wont' hold it.
e) The Steadicam Flyer and Merlin are the best options.
f) Standard Zoom, Focus & Iris controllers will work - however it takes some skill to mount and operate them so that it doens't affect yrou normal operating.
g) No, the Flyer won't fit inside a normal car. This is where the Merlin has a huge advantage. However even the Merlin probabaly won't fit in the car with it's arm, You'd have to operate it handheld, which works fine.

I agree with Mikko. Here is a pic of my son with a DVX100A and Redrocks M2 adaptor. Works like a charm. He uses the NP1 batts but is changing over to either a V-mount or Bricks. He loves the Flyer.
