DVX100 Slow Shutter?

I bought the dvx100a and was looking to see if anyone knows if the camcorder can do a slow shutter speed effect like in the "First Night" or other war films where the footage looks a little choppy because of the shutter speed effect. Does anyone know if the dvx100a can create this effect and how I would go about it if it can?
 
First - correctly light then push that shutter speed upto 1/250th or 1/500th.
