DVX100 Shooter available

Re: DVX100 Shooter available

Just to clarify a few things...

I'm an amateur, with little experience, and would like to get together with others amateurs (ie: recent grads) who are interested in learning more about film making. If other more serious and more experienced filmmakers are interested in having me work with them (for little or no pay - just for experience and exposure), I'd be open to proposals.

Currently I have a full time job outside of filmmaking (systems analyst), but have a serious interest in working in the filmmaking industry and may head that direction in the future.

So far I have a DVX100AP, wireless mic as well as a shotgun mic.

I don't know how realistic this offer is to anyone, but I figured this would be a good place to start.

Where in Western Canada? I go to BC (Vancouver, Victoria) about once or twice a year, the next time FOR SURE with my DVX. DOn't mind hooking up with other DVXUsers and do some shooting (ehm, filming - not to confuse the two ;) ) - especially in the beautiful scenery of BC.

Re: DVX100 Shooter available

The Police can't do much if you take video can they? I'd get pretty irritated if they did. I could see it being a problem if it was a petroleum plant or an area that had some sort of security restrictions.

Re: DVX100 Shooter available

Hey, I was just jokingly referring to the other thread. I've never been to Edmonton but I heard it's a beautiful city, with parks along the river, and the MALL :o!

I wouldn't worry about police if you are just filming stuff for fun and education - not in this country, anyway. Yeah, they could ask you for a permit if you have any crew attached to your project, but if it's just you and a couple of friends... no.

But hey, who am I to say? I come from a police state, so even a night spent at a Canadian jail could be just like a hotel back home ;D

I don't assume you are looking for some adventure to free me from oppression, do you?

I live in Canada but I originally come from (former) Czechoslovakia.
