Hello all

Ive been milling around here a wjile and had'nt registered yet just because I was waiting to drop some of my own screengrabs but given the topic on the Homemade Mini35 adapter i decided to post early.

I will start by saying i did not shoot these but my DP did. These are stills from the DVX100 with the aide of a P+S adapter and Mini35 primes. The truth is the res is poor do to the fact we ripped them from a DVD so there is generation loss and MPEG compression but even so.

I will be shooting a short sometime the end of this month employing this set up (They belong to a studio im Miami my DP works for. He will be bringing them to Charlotte for the shoot.)

I recently showed a demo DVD to some AFI students. I showed them a music video by the same studio that was shot on 35mm then a video shot with this setup on the DVX. After I asked them which one was MiniDV. They all said none were. (And this was on a 62" projection TV)

With the right lighting and some solid color correction you can produce amazing stuff with this rig.

P.S.
For some of my work here are stills from our HD feature that was optioned from a MiniDV short film i wrote and directed.
