So Ive been in these forums since about August I think. I joined mainly to get response on people who own DVX's. But, once I actually dove deep into the forums, I found out about the difference between the original, A, B, HVX200, FX1, XL2, etc. I have been driving myself crazy over which camera I should buy. I said the 100B, then the DVC30, then the DVC80.

I really wanted to get an HD cam, but I figured its wayyy to much money to invest in hard drives, a new comp, etc. The other day I found the HDV-A1U (I think thats the model #), but while researching that I found that Sony fx1's are going for around the same price as a 100A (which is what I was going to buy originaly). So I think im going to buy a used FX-1 and use the SD for like a year until I can afford to go HD. Rather than buying an SD cam, then in 2 years, selling it, and then going through the torturous process of getting a new cam..

What do you guys think? IS it a good decision?
