DVX100 fisheye mountable on HPX-170?

One of the reasons i've always wanted a DVX100, is that its the only camera with a wider fisheye available for it than the VX1000 (my current camera). I was a little disappointed that there weren't that wide of fisheyes available for the HVX200 (which i've been planning to get). The DVX100 and the HPX170 are both 72mm right? So would the bayonet mount be the same size as well? Would i be able to mount a DVX100 .3x Century Optics fisheye to the HPX170 and use it for 4:3 shooting?

a lot of us are kinda waiting on that. but for me, i used the dvx100a and century fisheye for about 2 years. the distortion is nice but i hate the vignetting. its unacceptable in this day and age. now i'm using the hvx200 with the 16x9 fisheye that has no vignetting. and i'm going to try and meet up with an hvx200a owner this coming week and see how the lens is on that camera. and then hopefully try it on a 170 when it comes out and let that be my deciding factory between the 200a and 170. i'm kind of a bit hesitant on whether or not the 170 and 16x9 fish will have vignetting. with the 200 and 16x9 fish its real close to having some. i've seen some users that have a small bit of it with slightly misaligned ccds. but i'll post my findings.

but its going to be "mid to late september" before we see the 170 in the publics hands. and also the dvx century fish's glass may not be up to par for HD. if not lets hope century can remake the masterpiece of the mk1 for the 170. here's to hoping...

A DVX fisheye will fit on an HPX170. It will also be startlingly ridiculously wide, because the HPX is way, way wider than the DVX. And yes, when shooting standard-def, you can shoot 4:3 or 16:9.

The Century Lens Adapters for the DVX100 DO NOT work with the HPX 170. I got my HPX170 today and tried. I called Century they said 2 - 3 months before we see anything.
