I have a DVX fisheye adapter from Century that has a chunk of glass that was broken off when the front lockring came lose and the glass fell out one day. This break is not viewable on the image so I luckily could still use it. I recently upgraded to the HMC which has the same bayonet as the DVX but slightly thicker so the DVX fisheye would fit very tight and over time would likely break the HMC mounts. Seeing as I would no longer be able to sell the broken lens yet it was still useable, I took the DVX fisheye and machine shopped myself a custom DVX100 fisheye that fits on the HMC by moving around the lock ring on the inside. My question is on the HD fisheye lens made by Century for the HMC/HPX or the HVX is there a difference in the glass? I have a working fisheye now but I am wondering whether or not I am losing any quality. Thanks.
