I am doing the the EFP
but I have problem many footage I record only have the original voice
only the make mixer - choir with mic sound

So I use another sound mixer
to connect source 1 to DVX100 sound out
then Source 2 to VX2100 Sound out
and source 3 as the Main mixer sound

This will capture my sound
but is there any better plan

to capture live sound

u can buy one of those cheap recorders with mic input
they dont cost much and u can export them to ur pc?

Used to have a Marantz, but the preamps were a little noisy.
I've read good things about the Sony PCM-D1, but haven't used it myself or talked to anyone who has actually used one to see how it really performs.

If you're trying to use the DVX as an A/D converter from a mixer output, then I suggest no. You'd have to find a really good mixer (Allen & Heath, Studer, Soundcraft, etc.) thats virtually noiseless. Plus, you'd have to sound check a lot in order to get the right mix.

If you want to use the DVX as a two channel capture device (capture two individual audio channels and mix later in logic, sonor, etc.), thats fine, but you'd only get two audio channels at a time. :(

How do the combine the EFP audio and sound man audio
together

when editing

If you mean sync them up in post (assuming they are recording and the sound engineer will give you a high quality wav file after he mixes it), I suggest capturing the room sound (via onboard mics, or whatever) and use that as a reference. I like to then drag the recorded audio file onto the timeline and sync it up with the captured sound source from the camera. Once those are in sync, then the video has to be in sync as well.

lol. Thanks timothychew.

To make a long story short, I'm also the sound engineer for the recording studio in my high school (im a senior).

I don't really know of any website that could help you. I learned a lot of my stuff from experience, and trial and error. :)
