Why do you want know exact capture size? When you shoot with DVX100 there's standard D1 PAL (in Australia) 720x576 pixels output and for 3D tracking use this.
If I remember correctly there are actually more pixels on CCD's but used only 414720. This output size comes from Firewire so it's little confusing why you need to know how many "unused" pixels.
Yes, akj wants to know the physical size of the sensor. Needs to match computer generated images to video, thus exact geometry of the sensor/lens assembly is needed. Resolution is irrelevant in this context.
