DVX with D90?

alright so i have a dvx and want to get a d90 for use as a double angle with it

it will mostly be shooting for a snowboard film so the first question would be:

if i have it stable on a tripod would the shots look good with a pretty fast motion of someone snowboarding?

which brings me to the next question:

i shoot using 30p (mostly because i like the look better for snowboarding) and if i stuck with 30p on the dvx what would i have to do to edit it on the same timeline as the D90 footage ?

or would it be alot less trouble to just film 24pA with the dvx and cut them together on the same timeline? (if this is possible)

since i have a d50 right now i would just sell that body and pay a bit more for the d90 so it wouldnt be a huge cost to me, but the d90 even if it would be "decent" for this it would be worth alot more to me as i just have the d50 as a "for fun" camera anyways

with my intended use would this be a good idea and how would i edit it with dvx footage? and yes i know the canon 5d or whatever shoots 30p truth is i just dont like canon, their image has been tarnished to me with past video cameras and its out of my price range for a B camera anyways

I am doing this with my work and a HV20 for the main camera. Some work is required to get the two to look well togather on screen- I am blurring the Hv20 and differences in color rendition and dynamic range come into play.

If I were you I'd place the Nikon so that the subject is not running sharply across the frame. I have not had problems with my fast moving objects so long as I can make them blur well, but I suspect all trees and lift poles will slant sharply from the rolling shutter if you pan rapidly to follow the subject.

You may need to have your NLE interpret the D90 footage at 23.976 rather than its native 24.000 fps. Easy enough and has been necessary for me with the HV20 and D90 together in Premier Pro.

If it were me, I would seriously consider the Canon or maybe a HV30, its not just the 30fps (which probably is better for you if you're shooting sports for dvd)... its also the rolling shutter- you would need to be very careful with your D90's placement and the angles and rapid panning.
