Well, I saw this online video contest based on video games a couple of weeks ago but my heads on my DVX were broken. So I felt I couldn't produce anything worthy since I would like to do a lot of post work(green screen, special effects etc etc) but I said, %^&% it lets just try it with my point and shoot camera.
Mind you this was a pretty nice point and shoot camera(the Leica D-Lux 3) but was in no way a decent video camera.
So I 1st shot some green screen with it...lo and behold it keyed out very well. I was like wow...I think it even keyed out a bit easier than my dvx100a but maybe I'm just crazy?!?! Anyways, all the footage turned out pretty well considering the camera.
Then on the 3rd(exactly a week before the deadline) disaster strikes, as I was editing the 2nd portion of the video(there were 3 parts) my video card in my DELL inspiron e1705 laptop fried. If any of you have ever had a video card go bad in a laptop know that you cant just go to a store and buy a vid card for a laptop.
So I called dell. Tahnksfull it was still under warranty and they would send someone over to replace the video card.
So they got it fixed but by that time it was already wednesday. So I only have 2 days to edit 2 more parts and these parts were the most graphic intensive.
I was able to finish one and pretty much finished the 3rd but the rendering time of the 3rd wouldn't make it in time.
SO in short here is what I produced with a point and shoot camera, a crashed but fixed computer, and a short amount of time.

Even though I had a lot of mishaps, I sitll had a lot of fun making it(even though its not complete).
a lil change from the normal wedding or event video ya know?
Sorry about the lil novel but I kinda felt like venting the events that happened. I think im going to use this leica more often for lil fun things like this.
and I even made the finals
If you would like to vote check out the 3 finalists and myself here:

thanks :dankk2: for reading this insanely long post.
Oh by the way the final video of mine would have included Street fighter, Final Fantasy and Parappa the Rapper.
