Nope, got you beat! My wife is an on-air correspondent for one of the big Spanish language networks. I ordered pizza a couple of months ago and the kid who delivered it saw her name on the order.

He asked me if I was her father!:embarasse

Needless to say...he got no tip!

35 - Damn it.

I don't know. I'm cool with it. But damn it was just 1991 like 5 seconds ago.

I figured you and I were around the same age. We seem to have the same pop-culture memories :)

I feel bad because I missed my goal of being the youngest director to win an Oscar. (The youngest to win was 32) So now I have to hang in there til I'm the ripe old age of 75 to break the record on the other end.

53 ouch. It seems like yesterday when I was in college being an idiot.

Okay, Kimko. I'm waiting for that response.

very early sixties, been in the video and photo business for the 45 years, Commercial photographer, filmmaker, videographer since 1971, video and photo instructor starting in 1975. I own Panasonic DVCpro 25 and DVCpro 50 cameras, so I am partial to Panasonic. Just finished my 35mm adapter which I designed for the dvx100. I am not calling it a 35mm Adapter because I am not using 35mm lenses. So stay tuned Initial test was very positive.

Wow! Good to hear I am not the only ancient one here Winston

Yup. Another 48er here. Haven't tried the DVX yet, so I'm still sceptical about its "film look" ability. I'm probably going with 16mm.

HELLO ALL
I'm 59 and just discovering the real world of video. I'm ordering a dvx100b this week.
I now do weddings (since my company downsized me) and need a camera that can produce nice images with out grain in subdued lighting.

In March I'll be a year older than Paris Hilton......26. And i still feel like a newbie compared to most other professionals, mind you 20 years vs 3 years of experience will do that.

Applause and a pat-on-the-back to everyone, regardless of age. While us over 40's are happy where we're at, we're still the minority - although that means only one thing - that we've stuck with it and now we're the best of the best! :D
