DVX upgrade?

Barry are you willing to make a guess why Panasonic made the rebate more only a couple months into this rebate period.

But I agree that people will keep using the DVX100.

I think the Canon probably drove 'em to boost the rebate; prior to that they were probably priced a bit too close. Now there's a $1200 price difference between the two (actually, between the three: $2800 for the DVX, $4000 for the Canon, and then for another $1200 for the HVX). I don't know why else they would take this move, but for a lot of people $1200 is a lot of cash. I mean, there are cameras like the GS series that go for around $1600, then you can spend $1200 to step up to the DVX, etc.

$2800 for a USA deal with all the extra is really good. Maybe a few will drop even lower.

Panasonic are really pushing the advertising on the AVC-HD consumer cams in Tokyo right now. I think June next year will see a prosumer model out.

aaah, i have bought a dvx100b 2 weeks ago for 2700euro and the xh-a1 is out for 3000euro in germany. maybe a great mistake???:crybaby:

although this may be true, you still have to spend 3200 to even have access to the 100B. so why not just wait a month and save 800 for an HD format. Thats what I dont understand about Panny 100B, just take the rebate away and sell it for cheaper, I think its really hurting the sales of the 100B. Or am I just a cheap consumer?
