DVX to Sony - No Sound again

I just imported a wedding through firewire, but no sound on Main timeline in vegas...
But as always, the Raw AVI clip has Audio...

Why do I need to use Windows Movie Maker to import instead? (as this works)

You shouldn't. It should be just fine.

How are you importing to the timeline? Is it through the Trimmer? Do you have it set to Video Only?

Is it from the media pool or from a Windows folder? Are you right-clicking to drag it over and then choosing "Video only" or "Insert video across time"?

Ah it seems I didn't plug the moniter speaker back in after inserting the Firewire card to my motherboard...but I swear that the Last 2 times it didn't work...So I will take your advice for next time...
I think the last times it was from a Normal DV tape that I filmed using a handycam

P.S the comment about hearing the RAW AVI was when it happened last time
