DVX Television Commercial

That was actually pretty cool. Loved the transition from the pocket to the drink. Nice. Wasnt to fond of their logo, dont know if that had anything to do with you or not but nice editing and cool transitions!!

The look is very professional and clean. But the VO is aweful. You need to get a real voice in there.
The graphic needs some work.
But again the look is pretty much on point.

I'd want to go there. Agree with the voice on the voice over, also agree with
lack of loving logo. Good job, though.

Great job. Nice transitions. I couldn't hear the voice though but maybe that is just me (I'm a little deaf).

Nice job man, loved those transitions. Were you using a steadicam for some of those shots? Real smooth work

Hey, I've been there. Looked great, agreed that the logo needs a little work. Though I didnt think the V.O was that bad, good work!

EDIT: I'm movin up to Denver to start school in the fall, just in case you open up for any employment opportunities:)

Hey everyone, thanks for all of the kind comments! I didn't like the logo either. The VO bothered me at first, but I got used to it.

All of the shots were done on a simple homemade dolly and track.

Invision, please get in touch with me when you get to Denver. I work at KBDI Channel 12, and I can definitely hook you up.

I agree, everything looks great except the logo. The whole commercial is very dynamic, then the logo is very static. It needs a little sprucing up. Other than that, awesome job.

Good Job.I like your lighting, it's well lit while still keeping that dark and bar look. The transitions are nice. I love the dart follow and the drink slide shots, they were kind of cheesy but fun, which works for a place where you go to have fun. The end graphic is the weakest part. the logo looks off center and I like seeing some kind of address, phone number or web site. Maybe make the logo larger and put a drop shadow on it so it stands out more from the green background.

Once again, thank you so much for the kind comments.

Pastaman, thanks for bringing up the lighting. That was my primary concern for this particular shoot. My friend Gary did the camera work. We're both independent DP's and we rarely get the chance to join forces for something like this. We both admire each other's work and we're always pushing each other to do better work. No room for egos here! I think that the end result was greater than the sum of it's parts. Jason, the director/editor was awesome to work with as well.

Hopefully we'll be doing some more projects in the near future.
