DVX stop motion

Is there anyway to shoot frame by frame without using the time laps feature? If there isnt, I noticed that the time laps only shoots at a minimum of .5s. Is there a way to reduce that to a frame rate?

DV Rack 2 Has a true frame by frame stop motion recording mode including onion skinning to see a semi-transparent overlay of where the item your animating was on the previous recorded frame.
