DVX Standby Mode...

Stupid question probably but couldn't find a thread when searching so I guess I gotta just be the one to post and ask. I know this camera been out for years and all, I cant figure out how to take it out of standby mode without turning the camera off and back on again. I never really cared but I might as well ask now cause it has to be possible some way right?

Anyone can tell me how without having to turn it off and on?
 
You should be able to just hit record to bring it back (if you're set to standby and not set to "power off").
 
I believe it's in 7. Other Functions and scroll down to the "Tape Protect" setting and switch it to Standby. That'll make it so that, instead of powering down, it'll just stop the tape transport.

Haha, yeah I know the thing is, I dont like to read. If I had the manual in a pdf then i would do a search. I actually got 2 DVX's (2 manuals) i dont even know where they are at this point anyway. I dont read manuals usually, i never really cared to know how to change it cause it wasn't an issue but I figured might as well ask right now. I usually just turn it off and back on anyway!

So whats the fitness challenge?
 
Your question isn't stupid. Every question is a good question because you never know who may need that answer. I didn't read my entire manual. I'm so busy. Your question and the answer helped me. So thanks!

I did not understand what you jus said. LOL

But yeah, im talking about reading through things that I dont care about, the book doesn't have a search feature that works well like this forum does, plus there are not tons of cool interpretations in the book and when i talk back to the book, it doesn't increase my "talk count" so what the hell is the book good for? hehe! I just love you guys and want to get answers from you.
