dvx problem?

When I put the DVX into letterbox setting, there's a brightness difference on what looks like the top and bottom pixels of the image. The top and bottom horizontal lines of the widescreen image are much brighter than the rest of the image(this is on the LCD btw)
Any explaination for this?

You probably have "peaking" turned on (EVF DTL). Try turning EVF DTL off; the lines will go away. Seeing those lines lets you know you have the function turned on.

oh. Yep. I do.

what's that for?

Practice focusing with and without it. The effect is mild, but when you learn to recognize the effect, you'll find manual focusing is much easier and more precise when you have it turned on.

haha. That was actually the first thing I noticed. "Why do these highlights appear when I put it into focus?"
