DVX on camera light

wondering if any one has any more opinions?, and should i invest in an extra battery.. also what are u guys carrying your light in? a seperate case? or ure cam case? i have the pani case and its packed up as is, looking for something that will accomidate all my gear but dont have a place in the MD area that stocks anything....

With the battery of the kit I have you get 85 minutes at 50w. Up to you if thats enough or not. With the light weight batteries, you'll get less time. Up to you if more time or less weight it more important.

I have the stock Panasonic case in which I carry the camera and its own batteries, and the boom mic. Everything else, including my Bescor light kit goes into a plain old Samsonite soft luggage bag. Its made of some sort of thick cloth, and is doing me fine. I just had it laying around already and adapted it for use. See what you can find that will work for you, it doesnt have to be $200 and designed by a video equipment company. See what they have at flea markets and Salvation Army stores.

i definatly agree, id just like the idea of an all in one solution i know they can be hard to find when being small yet large enough for it all, i have older camera case from my dv cam i think im gonna use should be the perfect size....

i just dont want to misplace things when running around during an event, having a tripod bag camera bag, light bag, and misc box is a lot to run around with on ure own as we all know.....

To dim, or not to dim, that is the difference.

Hi Dan, can you tell me what's the difference between dim light and non-dim light? I'm also shopping for an on-camera fill light for weddings. I'm not familiar with "dim" and "non-dim" terms. Thanks.

Dimmer lights have a knob that turns left to make the light progressively less bright and right to make it brighter, allowing you to adjust exactly how much light you want/need perfectly. I would most definately suggest a dimmer light no matter what brand.
