Hello,

This is a work in progress version of the trailer for our film "Number 6".

I'm waiting on some "movie voice-over" lines to be recorded from a professional CBS Radio guy who's voice is identical to the ones you hear in all Hollywood trailers! Anyway, I just stuck in some of his sample voice-overs into this trailer for now until I get the new ones tomorrow...but you get the picture.

Turn up your volume... and it's beneficial to have a sub-wolfer when watching this trailer!

All comments/criticism welcome.

wow. that's a real step up from the previous version you showed. real nice work man.
such difference these v/o people can make.

and the sound was superb.

It looks and sounds great. My only beef is your Green MPA approval title. It has a drop shadow. If you look at most of the trailers on apple.com the MPAA title doesn't have a drop shadow. I'd try and imitate that format exactly since you're film looks professional.

Same things goes for your credit title at the end. It looks like you've got a photoshop glow on it. If you imitate the pro MPAA titles perfectly I bet people will think your films feature length. Awesome work man, keep it up.

Sweet.. thanks for those tips! I'll try to copy those exactly... do you know what font they normally use? I just tried to find whatever looks close but I would like to know exactly :)

Thanks,

Norm

I was actually wrong about there not being a drop shadow. Looking at trailers, I can actually see a drop shadow, but it's not as far from the letters as your trailer. I think the font changes for most trailers, but you can at least get the sizing consistent to commercial trailers.

I found this jpeg file sometime ago. It may help u:

The movie guy voice has totally enhanced the trailer...I LOVE his voice! I wish my voice was like that...

Hey, his name is Gary from CBS Radio USA. If anyone is interested in having him do VO's, his email is GARYC965@aol.com. He's really nice and flexible/reasonable.

Day & night difference with that voice in your trailers!

Norm

Thanks!

Just drop him an email and ask, I think it really depends on the scope and # of lines. He'll give you an answer if you tell him the scope of your project. Replies pretty quick too!
