DVX Newb Question

OK so I just got my DVX so i'm not too good with it yet.
When I open the LCD to record there is always a white line that goes across the middle of it. How can I get rid of this?

I'm no expert, but that doesn't sound right. Its damaged maybe?

it sounds like dead pixels on your LCD, take it back and swap it for a good one.

Well it doubt it's dead pixels because it's like a perfectly straight line across the center. It doesnt show up on the viewfinder or in footage though. I'll try and post a picture of what it looks like. I hope it's not damaged.

It doesn't really matter how straight the line is, it's still probably dead pixels...take it back to the place where you bought it; that's a faulty LCD screen...
