DVX music video

You said something about a plug in that stabilizes shots? Does it work that well, and what program does it work in? Please say After Effects! =)

After Effects and Premiere Pro. In fact, I do believe the standard version of the plugin comes free with Adobe After Effects 6.5 Production Bundle.

Sebastian, your work is amazing! One of the most interesting things is the fact you don´t always use DVX100, though the results are VERY film-like. I have some questions for you:

1- What software did you use for the 24p transfer (guessing you did it) when you were not using the DVX100?
2- The first shot of the "my soul to keep" video: the face of the actor/runner was lit? What else was lit on that and the posterior shots?
3- All the light equipment you used on those videos were kind of homemade?
4- When you compare the FINAL RESULT of the videos shot with interlaced cameras (PD150, TRV900) with those shot with DVX100, is it possible to notice the DVX100 is far better in terms of film-look?

Hello!

1: I used magic bullet and everything is in 25P (PAL)
2: It was lit with a redhead and I had another redhead behind him (you can kinda see it ;))
3: I recently bought a kino flo divalite200 but except from that I use redheads and storebought fluorecsents.
4: I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO 50i ;) the DVX is simply that much sharper and better PLUS, you get it immideately and you don't have to wait 5 hours to see how it looks...!!

Hope this helps!

BTW, thank you everyone for your kind posts!

/Sebastian

I just wanted to say that in addition to the interest of that steadying filter, your editing is tight and really shows the singer in her best light, good job.

You did an amazing job Sebastian - Excellent work! Looked beautiful and wow what a story! Yikes!
Kudos.

I have no real negative comments... One shot of her looking in the sun shine window was a bit too long, and that's really all that stuck out for me. Solid effort, you should be proud.
