DVX mic mount too big for MKH 416???

I may be nuts, or missing a crucial piece of adaptive tubing, but the beautiful Sennheiser 416 I just got doesn't seem to fit the microphone mount on my DVX100b; even when I tighten it down all the way the mike wobbles and wiggles around and sags down into view over the lens. I can only guess there must be some adapter I'm missing (I did get the camera used) but I don't know where to look for it or what I might be doing wrong. Thanks all!

the mount is too big for most mics, do yourself a favour & put that beautiful mic on a boom, if you;re on your own & have to have it camera mounted i would suggest at the very least getting a decent shock mount & fixing that to your camera - the mount that comes with the dvx is next to useless for dampening handling noise

I just wind some gaffers tape around the mic until it is big enough. (A good spot to have a little emergency tape too) Also, have used a bunch of rubber bands wrapped around the mic too.

I wouldn't use any other tape than pro gaff tape. the residue on that nice mic won't be so good.
