DVX Mic Clip

My mic clip snapped off in between the arm that hold the actual mic holder. I am not excited about spending $60 for another one so does anyone know of a DIY mic clip for the DVX? I have a shockmount for my hot shoe, but I also frequently use a video light which interferes. I was thinking about a dual-hot shoe adapter, but that might interfere with the other thing since both are pretty big. Suggestions?

I would go dual hot shoe personally, it seems more logical for you since you are using a light and mic. Look on instructables.com for diy shockmounts

I know that there are 2x 6mm screws and 2x 12mm screws for the mic holder assembly and the mic holder adaptor. Hope that helps!
