DVX Major problem

[Prionnsias]

Hello everyone
I am a new DVX100bp user
i just purchased it in early october and it has been giving me a problem
every so often the menu will flicker on and off, it will randomly start to record. when this happens it seems to put it self in Scene file 6 (24pa). when this happens sometimes all buttons refuse to respond, for example the menu will not go away, or it will not stop recording after it randomly started on its own.
i was shooting with it last saturday and it didn't happen untill the last 4 shots of the day.
UPDATE!
the issue seems to be based arround the Scene file wheel. if i push on that the issue either does its thing or stops doing it. but the menu will be still frozen
if you have ever heard of or seen this issue please advise
thank you all

Hurry up before the Warranty wears out - not something you want sticking around or pay for...nip it in the bud asap.

Never heard of such a problem, but sounds like it may need a new circuit board, and the older DVX parts are getting rare and expensive and could easily be a 1500 repair.
