DVX LDC screen has broken

Recently the LCD screen on my beloved DVX100a went out. It the middle of recording a shot it failed. I don't think it was caused by anything physical because I didn't drop the camera prior to this. Has anyone had a similar problem? Is there any easy fix? If not, I live in Dallas and go to school in Baton Rouge, are there any repair centers around either of those cities? I looked briefly but couldn't find anything close to me. Any help would be appreciated!

I broke the backlight on my LCD about 2 years ago. (Actually a loading truck ran into my soft camera bag.) Had to send it in to have the whole LCD assembly replaced - they couldn't just replace the back light. Costed about $800. I used a shop in Atlanta, but I'm sure there's one closer to Dallas. Or try Spec Comm, they're a sponsor on this board.

$800??! ahh. If that's the case, I may just leave it the way it is. Yeah, Spec Comm is only servicing the HD Panasonic cameras. Would any production houses here in Dallas service the camera? Is that something they do? Also, how much do you think I could sell the camera for with the inop LCD screen? It's got exactly 200hrs on the meter and looks and functions like is brand new (with exception of the LCD, of course). Thanks.
