DVX Footage not working on PC?

So I cut this really simple thing for my friend for a small project he was doing, I exported the footage, and when he went to play it, it wouldn't work on ANY PC's, just Macs. On PC's, it would play just the audio. Any ideas?

And also, I have to export the footage for DVD quality level, any suggestions on that?

Thanks!

You'll have to give more info..what software are you using and what were your project and output setting?

Hmm. AFAIK, DV codec is included with WMP for XP and later systems. Check your codecs and reinstall WMP if needed. Or use VLC. Or download Panasonic's DV codec. Plenty of choices.

Any chance you exported a quicktime file and none of the PCs you are testing on have quicktime installed?

Sorry about that, I'm editing in FCP, the footage is 24P letterbox, and I was just exporting as a QT file.

It's the other PC's, but that was the only thing I could think of, it's not my PC, it's my friends boss who hired him for it.

I am now realizing that it's most likely the other computers.

I'll talk to my friend, but any other input would be great!

Thanks guys!

What kind of a Quicktime file are you exporting? If it's AIF, no, no Windows machine will play it, because Apple doesn't provide a Windows version of the codec.
