Congrats! I'll be sure to check the film out. Who is the distributor and could you give us a little rundown on how you got the distribution deal; through a screening, aquisition executive...

Best of luck to you and your team.

Actually, this is not my movie, it's for a friend of mine, I'm just helping him promote it. He got the distribution deal through a film festival in Brooklyn. The right person was in the audience when his film was shown.

Thanks for the support.

It's terrible but being an actor I've heard pretty much all those things in casting myself.

The movie looks kinda funny but the audio could have been done better I think.

Interesting. Will have to look for it. BTW the website is not Firefox friendly. I had to get that crappy ie out of the closet to view it properly.

The trailer had me laughing. Good stuff. I agree the sound was a weak, but few things in life are perfect. :)

I will definitely check it out when it hits Blockbuster.

Great Trailer

Great Trailer

Good luck to your friend. It's encouraging that the movie was shot the day after the treatment. I'm still trying to get my movie off the ground.ll check out the movie in the near future. It's

Thanks KimCamera, I think you forgot to finish your post.. anyway good luck with your movie, it's so tough to get a deal of any sorts, I guess it's all about who you know, and sometimes that don't help.

Hey all,

I've read the posts here and I thank you all for your enthusiasm.

I'm one of the filmmakers involved with Fronterz, and I will try to answer any questions I can.

First, in response to Geoff R, the distributor for DVD is Image Entertainment. Then we also have Starz who will be playing it on cable starting in April.

We screened the film at the UrbanWorld Film Festival in NYC in 2004, and that's where we were approached by a few distributors including Image. They were aggressive and loved the project, and after discussions with other companies, we decided on Image.

Second, responding to Ecking and Overandfilms, the audio was not that great, and the compression on the website didn't help. However, we did go back in, spent a good chunk of cash and totally remixed and remastered all the audio, so the final version is markedly better that what you heard.

btw, I occasionally Google the film to keep tabs on what is going on out there with it, this is how I came upon this post and website.

The dvx saved our butts, and it's a great camera. (we nicknamed it "The Football" because it was the size of a football, and it got fumbled a couple of times) It began a revolution of sorts and it is still a great camera for very low and no budget filmmakers.

Best,

Was Evin the D.P. on this? He is a member on this board.

Yes, Evin was our D.P.

I'm gonna embarrass him a little. We nicknamed him "Manual" on the shoot because it seemed that he was a walking owners' manual when it came to the camera.

Evin's great, he gets big love from us for what he did.
