DVX feature - preview screening - NYC

Hello.

I wanted to invite any dvxuser members in the NYC/NJ area to attend a preview screening of my first feature, “Close To Midnight.” The film is screening at a local NYC theater.

The film was shot using the DVX-100 and the Redrock M2 Adapter. This forum was instrumental in helping me through each of the production phases and I’m indebted to everyone here.

I read the synopsis and it your story really intrigued me your website was also well designed to peak my interest. I do have to say your trailer left alot to the imagination it didnt give really any clue to what the movie was about.

But i definitely interested to check it out, i wont be in the NY area to see screening but be sure to keep us updated on any further screenings or if distribution is available cause i really would like to see it.

I submitted to festivals in the DC/Maryland area so I will let you know.

The DVX user community was one of the reasons that I was able to make it.

I'd like to ask, after viewing the teaser, if you used an adapter in some shots?

There are some very fantastic examples of deep focus being used to compose shots, as in naked DVX lens.

I too am intrigued, but wishing that the teaser said a bit more.
 
I used a Redrock M2 with Nikon Lenses (55mm, 80-200mm).

The M2 was a beast to setup and light but ultimately worth it. I used it for the entire film.
