Yes, I have a DVX. Previously I've only owned some pretty low end units so admittedly am not getting the most out of the DVX at this point. I guess I should've phrased my question thusly, "Anyone know of a better information source or is this book the Bible of this camera?"
I only know enough to be really dangerous in the world of video production, so don't be surprised if you see some goofball questions posted from me.
Excellent book. Great mixture of practical info & guides (specific to the cameras), as well as some pertinent background theory (in lay language) to explain features and concepts. I highly recommend it!
I have to say that I just purchased the book and find it to be fantastic! A lot of the information I understood in theory prior to reading, but to see it laid out so clearly really cemented it and gave me a contextual understanding. Also, the "Menu Settings" demonstration on the accompanying DVD is worth the price alone. REALLY great info that demonstrates the flexibility of the DVX as a tool and really gets you to thinking about how to fine tune it to get a certain look in any number of scenarios. Kudos to everyone involved...
