DVX biking clip

i liked the video quality it was cool. the music was real mellow. did you make that or is it somebody's song? also, how'd you get the little blur/fade in effect?

Hi, I'm also getting curious as others. What are the settings, how come its so sharp? Your shooting mode and what software you used for post production.
Over all its a good video. I'm impressed with the quality. Good Work.. Keep it up.
 
i was shooting at 24PA, i turned up the shutter speed and did a bit of CC(bumped up the sat and mids). and i edit with FCP with a 23.98 timeline.

The song is from a begging of a wu-tang song witch is called informericial#2 . and my first blur/fade in was me with my camera and the second blur/fade was in FCP with the blur filter

Awesome little movie clip... also, I am new to this board and I can hardly believe te quality from DVX cameras... it is amazing!

Thanks. if I may ask, did you set up the shoting Dial at F5 dial for this? Can you share the settings of the SCEAN FILE? Because its getting difficult for me to get that contrast in the bright light. Your suggetions would be appreciated.

Hi, Did you play this video on Plasma TV? Recently I edited my footage shot on F5 LetterBox and edited in Premier Pro 1.5 on standard settings. On viewing the clippings on Plasma I still find black strips on both top/bottom. I expected it to be covered the whole area.

The song fit the video well and it seemed to have great DOF shots.

a damn fine job.

im just bummed it wasnt longer.

I hope you mean you were shooting at 24PA to edit in a 23.98 timeline. If not, 24P normal should be edited in a 29.98 timeline, just like 30 or 60 footage.

If you have to render your clips when you drop them into the timeline, your settings are off.

The only reason I'm writing this is becuase I don't want to see anyone else try and edit 24p normal footage on a 24pa timeline. It'll just confuse people all over again, then I'll be in the FCP subforum trying to "un-confuse" them ;)
