I just did a two camera shoot with the HVX and the DVX. For the first scene i used the dvx as the main camera because i had the M2 on it, i used wireless mic system the audio came out great it was very warm and rich, for the next 2 scenes i used the hvx with the same wireless mic system as the main cam, the audio from the hvx was good, but very flat compared to the dvx does anyone know why, are there some settings i have to adjust on the hvx to get better audio.

I dont see why the DVX would be supperior in sound...only setting i can think of is the Audiolevels, but this wouldnt explain why it did sound "flat".
Technicly the HVX-sound should be better, as it records 16bit(stereo)at 48000Hz.
Where did you compare the 2 sounds..?From camera or captured on a system?

The guy you were shooting was too lardy, I think the lard vapors somehow corroded the HVX XLR mounts leading to bad audio transferrence. Thats my opinion...
