DVX at SUN!

Hi. I heard you should never point the camera directly at the sun. I guess this makes sense. But what exactly does it do to the camera specifically?

I got a DVX100b a couple days ago and I stupidly pointed it at the bright bright sun for about 5 to 10 seconds. Is that gonna ruin it forever? I hope not.

it shouldnt be as bad if you got ND 1/64th on, at like F 8.0 but again as stated, i wouldnt make it a habit, cause it will kill it alot faster than smoking.

I've shot into the sun a million times. Just make sure not to keep it there too long, and avoid the extremely bright mid day sun. Sunsets are a lot weaker, so they are not really harmful. :)
