So it's time for me to buy a new backpack. The cheap ebay bag I had has bit the dust and this time I think I'm gonna go for a Tamrac Expedition 8x.
Has anyone used this bag with the DVX100? My main concern is that it is deep enough to hold the DVX without putting too much pressure on the microphone.
I already know the rest of the dimensions will be fine, but depth is my main concern. The dimensions provided by Tamrac look good, but the only real way to tell is to try it out. And unfortunately, my local camera shop and Tamrac dealer is closing its doors and no longer has any Expeditions in stock. So there isn't any place locally that I can see one in person.
Sooo... if anyone can give me some sort of confirmation that the DVX does fit OK, I think I'm going to order it.
