DVX + After Effects

That was some awesome graphics. What in the world was the point of the project for spanish 2 final though?

thanks!
it was just about the culture...like food, music, art, etc...
The class was happy to have something fun and creative after the full hour of boring presentations where the people just sit there and read a paper in bad spanish, while holding up their barely visible posters and 8"x11" printouts.

this is just the intro portion, the rest would really bore you. It kinda one of those things that's only funny in the context of the classroom.

This looks great. The footage was nothing special, but I liked your camera movements in the project.

I'm wondering, are you the teacher, or a student?

very good graphics!! the actual video footage as said earlier didnt look "professional" but i can tell that it would work perfectly in the context that you are using it. I wish i could make stuff as good as that.

Can you enlighten me what the difference between premiere and aftereffects is? I know what after effects is for, but cant you do the same things in premiere? please enlighten me to the technical differences between the two.

premiere is for editing lots of video, long projects. it has some effects, but nothing too crazy.

After Effects is kinda like photoshop for video stuff. In terms of graphics and special effect stuff, it's way more powerful than premiere. It may be a really snazzy program, however, it's not something I would use to edit long projects.

If you're looking to make a sweet title sequence, an introduction to your show, or to add some compositing to your film, then After Effects will do nicely...it's the industry standard for motion graphics!

yes ive used both of them i understand.. i just dont know how to use after effects for what YOU do, and what specific technical differences they have. Like is after effects a vector based graphics engine? similar to their recently (or not so recently) acquired flash system? or does it just have certain specific features that premiere doesnt?

I edit video. I can only do very basic special effects, mostly of the traditional style... so when i have used after effects i have noticed nothing different except the way the program is laid out. it seems to me like the same program with two different formats? am i wrong?

well, i'm not a very technical guy...the best I can say is watch some video tutorials like the ones here- www.videocopilot.net

That's how I learned everything I know. Good luck!

I was about to say... that cleared it up for me.
