GH4 Dvx-200 V-Log is as bad as the GH4!

I wonder if that extra mile you got out of it was from grabbing it 10-bit. Have you found it to make much of a difference for you vs. the internal?
10-bit is always nice, but I think the "extra mile" in this case is more due to the skill/experience/talent of the shooter.

This grade is less saturated. No LUT just color wheels and curves in Resolve. GH4 10bit out to ProRes from 7Q+

I am a new contributer to this forum but have been shooting for years and have been enjoying all of your comments for some time . I agree with Erik. I shoot 4K downsampled to 1080 10 bit 422 to an Ninja 2 shooting Avid 220 HD. No LUT's, and awesome results. I use to use the Premier suite but went back to Edius because I won't rent my software. I am currently using Edius 8. It has the same curves and color wheels as resolve. I also have Resolve 12 Lite but Edius is faster.

Tried internal 4K and it color banded something awful. I would never use it this way.

I think Panny should have made V-log-L available with a water mark so it could be tested to see if it worked for you before buying it. Most major software companies gives you a 30 day trial to see if you like what they have to offer. When you register, the mark is gone so it can be used commercially.
