DVX 100BE Time Laps

I am trying to do a time laps with the DVX100BE, but I find the "rec time"but not the interval setting on the "recording setup" menu.

Can someone help me with this problem ? or a way past it?
 
There is no interval setting on the B model, they removed it when they beefed up the tape mechanism. As for a way to work around it(if even possible) I have no idea.
