Guys almost a year ago I picked up a DVX from BH. After begging my wife for a year she was finally convinced.

I read articles, posted tons of questions, made a tutorial for people regarding 35m adapters etc. But now, with the camera in my hands for almost a year I feel like I just waisted a lot of cash and time.

Im working on a video right now. what it is is me recording different events that our church did, adding some music and just showing it to people so they can see what we've done. but as I look at my footage im so frustrated.

let me tell you why:

1. Strobing. I try to do what barrys book suggests, but for some reason, i cant get it down. Im starting to think there is no way to get good smooth shots using 24fps with my dvx.

2. is it my NLE. I use premiere pro, is this part of my problem

3. fast motion. when someone is doing something fast, i try to keep up, and it looks terrible. example.. someone riding a bike... its not acting so if the shot is screwed up how can i ask them to do it again.

i dont know, just a little frustrated and wanted to vent. I want to use my dvx to the max but am not there yet.

SHOULD I.

record everything at 30i. so as to get good slow motion when I want it, then interpolate in AE to 24.

get some more equipment that will help me out.

by some books to read about camera movement operation etc.

i will do what it takes, just someone show me the way to go. Thanks Guys
