DVX 100b Problem..Auto off s_reel lock

Hello. Does anyone know what "Auto off S_reel lock" means. When I rewind my tape it works fine until it hits the 40 minute mark and as soon as it hits the 40 min it shows a flashing title on the LCD that says Auto off s_reel lock. after that the tape stops rewinding and then I just have to do it manually until it hits the beginning of the tape (60 min). Can anyone tell me how I can fix this or what might be wrong?

That's usually a problem that requires service. You can try hitting the reset button under the lcd, but I wouldn't bet on that working.
