DVX 100B and low light?

I'm interested in buying a DVX 100B, but I'd like to know just what is the lowest light it can handle. I'd like to use it for weddings, but I'm concerned about the low light situation. I use on-board lights now with a Canon GL-1, which still has problems. I know that the Sony VX2100 has the best low-light capibility in it's class, but I'd like to have the 24P function, which the 2100 doesn't have.

Thanks,
Phil

Your all good!

Your all good!

I have over 700 hours on my DVX and about 70 weddings under my belt. That being said I never and I mean never use lights at weddings. In fact the company I work for advertises that they don't use "those annoying video spot lights". You just have to learn how to tweak your scene files. Also as with any camera you have to know your focus distances because low light focus is always a battle.

ya especially with 24p, ive always found with taking the frame rate to 24th of a second, it gets a lot of great light and its still very smooth withought making it look like the super slow shutter speeds.

kgimedia, I hope you mean no lights at the wedding ceremony only. There's no way you can get good video with any cam in dark receptions. Sure, lights are annoying at the reception but it's the price of an acceptable picture.
