Hey all,
So I have a DVX100a, and a charger, but not the little cable that connects the charger to the camera itself. I would really like to have one (I'll be shooting a lot of interviews where the camera doesn't need to move at all, so why waste batteries?) but I cannot find it, or even a new charger that comes with it, anywhere. I have found some chargers but they aren't clear on whether or not they also include that little cable.
I went to radio shack today, and the guy said I could basically make my own using some end pieces they have and then connecting them with another cable and electrical tape, but I fear using such a bootleg solution to power such an expensive camera. I want to buy the real thing, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know a place that stocks them?
ALSO, I'll be using the camera a lot in China, where outlets are 220V. I am assuming this isn't a problem because the bottom of my charger says something about international voltages and 220V, but again, I am very paranoid about accidentally frying this camera. Does anyone know for sure if I could plug the camera into a Chinese outlet via the charger and have it not explode? Lots of countries do 220V so I assume it would be ok, but I wanted to check...
