actually it never came with my used camcorder...
tried to search on ebay and the internet but couldn't find a replacement.
any websites i can goto?

If nothing else, couldn't you just get a cheap 72mm UV filter to screw on your camera as a lens cap? Of course it will get scratched up, but just take it off before shooting anything, just like you would with an actual lens cap. Of course, you could always paint the outer side black, if you want. Further, I would imagine that just about any 72mm camera lens cap would work. Panasonic sells them for $35.00 but I found quite a few on E-Bay that would probably work just as well for less than $10. I hope this helps.

Theres a fabric lens cover that is for DSLR's im not sure what its called but if you search through b&h you should find it.

Make sure you buy one that has inside clips to attach it. the standard generic ones with the clips or buttons on the circumfrence of the cap won't work inside your lens hood.
I bought a used nikon 72mm lenscap from a photo store for five buck and it works perfectly.
