DVX 100A: "focus lock" is flashing in my view finder - how do I fix this?

Hello,

I am having a problem with my DVX 100A. At first when I would do an extreme tilt with the camera is would not focus. I turned on the camera today and it had a red title that appeared in the middle of my screen saying "Focus Lock on (or engaged something like that)" .

Now I can not focus the camera, not even manually. I am not sure what is causing this or how to fix it.

Try to tilt the camera while in power off mode to hear is there noise from inside ?
u should hear some noise .

I have tried this and it does have that normal shutter click. But when I turn it on is will still be out of focus. Although if I do tilt it a bit somethings it will find a focus plane.

I really need a reputable shop that I can take it into. I have to fix this thing - but I need it done corrrectly.

Yes , it sounds like needs repair .

Double check and make sure you do not have Auto selected but other that that:

You'd be surprised was is actually in the manual if you look.
