dvx 100 versus dvx102b

Is there a great difference between the dvx 100 the first model of the dvx and comparing to the current dvx102b( pal version ) ?
 
I want to know the same. I,m recently bought a DVX 100,with anamorphic conversor, matte box and other accesories. I ,m happy with it, but I,m Thinkin to change it for the new 100 B model . REally the last model have more dinamic range and better noise-signal relation? It,s a big diference wich justified to spend more money? In a post I read that the first model have best contrast, color etc than the last models ( A and B) It,s true?

I have a 100 and hear that the upgrade from 100 to "A" is not the great, but to the "B" makes a difference.

oic. someone is selling the dvx for 1.7k SGD
i wonder is that a good buy ..its been used for 3 years.
 
planning to used it a back up camera. Let me know your comments.
do you guys usually have backup dvx
 
If it is a 100 I would skip it and look for at least a 100a or b. Look through the prices here in the Marketplace section and you can get a good idea of pricing and camera condition. I think you can find a good condition 100a for $2k pretty easy if you have time. Hours, condition and extras all matter. I would also ask for the place where they purchased the camera originally and owner history.
 
I would go for the 100b, but I own the classic 100 myself, and love it. Its still an exceptional camera. But if I had to buy one tomorrow, I'd look for 100b, or at least the 100a. But don't be mean to the 100. Still an incredible camera.

understand. as for my project. i need to have another camera. dvx 100 a second hand camera will cost only 1/3 of the price of dvx 102b new.
have anyone shoot with with 100 and 100b
