DVX 100 S-Reel Lock Issue

My Panasonic DVX100 has a problem with the tape feed. The tape won't eject and the camera turns off shortly after it displays the error message: AUTO/OFF S-REEL LOCK.

I recently had this camera maintained and was hoping to sell it. This is the first problem I've had. . I would love to learn if there are tutorials on how to fix it or if anyone is willing to sell a used part I can buy and replace with.

my dvx100a has just done the exact same thing, i contacted panasonic and they say it needs to go in for repair :(
im trying to find an easier and cheaper fix as i ve read reports of $750 to repair, frankly if thats the case it will never get repaired as i dont have anywhere near the funds for it.
im really sad as everyday even after close to 5 years i learn something to improve my output, its almost become part of my right arm.
i have not tried compressed air yet, i doubt it will work , but at this point i m willing to try.
so keep me in the loop with what you hear / do to fix it and i will to.
 
google search VideoElectronics, Kerry (manager or owner? something like that) is a moderator on skateperception and does these kinds of repairs all the times very cheap, if your a skateperception memeber he does free estimates, and $750 is outrageous. Im sure if you sent it to Kerry it wont be very expensive, he replaced the one i had in my vx1000 very cheap, but that's a different camera.

anyway, give it a shot, most he can do is give you a higher estimate.
